As the new Knicks Gm I am holding a Press Conference to list a few goals I have for the team. First I am trying to cut cap by at least 30% and acquire some young talent. I would like to introduce a piece that was acquired just this afternoon. The Knicks are pleased to announce JR giddens. I feel that his potential is worth losing David Lee and nate robinson. I also acquired Brian scalabrine who will help us very wel in the low post.

So with the Knicks looking to cut cap and rebuild who are the main targets for you this offseason? 2009? Or is it a slow wait for Lebron to come on the market?

NYK fans are angry about the deal about n.robinson and d.lee
they believe the duo could be worth more than a pick and another youngster
could u explain why you would not rebuild your team with lee?

I am not sure who my main targets are at this point. I clearly have to say that my main goal is to build around Dino who has immense potential. Nate and David lee have some good potential, but giddens potential intrigued me. I am asking the fans to be patient with the rebuild process it will take time for the team to gel.

I have to agree. I think you could have got more for Lee and Robinson but you seem to like Giddens so I hope it pans out for you because Boston is set to lead the league this season with that pick most likely #30.

I probably could have gotten more for lee and robinson. The main reason for this deal was lee had a D potential @ the age of 25 or 26. Giddens potential has not reached its peak yet and was behind ray allen. Although the pick is probably gonna be #30 there can be some movement with that pick to ensure that we get a good player in some way via draft or trade.
